This is a good piece, and worth the read. Wonder how much longer Democrats will continue to use the 'TACO' reference when discussing Trump? Maybe once he ends the 67 year reign of communism in Cuba?

Every aspect of Iran’s ability to project regional power is being successfully degraded.

Two weeks into Operation Epic Fury, the dominant narrative has settled into a comfortable groove: The United States and Israel stumbled into a war without a plan. Iran is retaliating across the region. Oil prices are surging, and the world is facing another Middle Eastern quagmire. US senators have called it a blunder. Cable news has tallied the crises. Commentators have warned of a long war.

The chorus is loud and, in some respects, understandable. War is ugly, and this one has imposed real costs on millions of people across the Middle East, including the city I live in.

Yep. Al-Jazeera, no less. That ain't 'Fox News".

The difference between this and the never-ending wars we've been involved in is that Trump isn't afraid of confronting people, taking criticism and winning, He'll finish this thing and when it's all over, everyone will be wondering why they were worried in the first place. We have a great President, even if he does say too much sometimes.

I look at what he does, rather than what he says.

He’s the president we needed at this moment in history, and Gd had a hand in seeing that happened.

Their subscribers live in that part of the world and have to deal with the terrorism that is funded. They have to deal with rockets and the external efforts of Iran. Iran is a proxy for China and Russia for the most part, not an appealing prospect.

The fewer weapons they have the better. Nukes must be out of the question, I do not even want nuclear proliferation anywhere let alone Iran.

I have nothing against their people, it is a place with a long history. Citizens must be free though, it is the hill I will always die on. Governments must be noble to their citizens not treat women like animals and killing them for not wearing face cover.

The nuclear threshold that previous US presidents accepted

When you live in a fantasy world where Donald Trump is Hitler, then you can believe literally anything as long as bashes Trump.

A proxy network that is fragmenting, not expanding

The regional escalation – Hezbollah resuming attacks on Israel, Iraqi militias striking US bases, Houthis issuing threats in the Red Sea – is cited as the clearest evidence of US-Israeli strategic failure. The war is spreading, the critics say, just as it did in Iraq. This misreads the dynamics of Iran’s alliance network.

Not only that but the cat is now out of the bag that Iran was always much less of a threat than they projected. Still, they were a threat to world peace and were getting stronger. Better to hit them now while they were weaker.

To a point, I understand.....

I don't trust much of anything these days.

However, to out and out dismiss it without reading the work that was done is ignorant.

And ignorant is the word that best describes TimFitz

I hope Cuba will be opened.

Trump can do this without any military if he plays his cards right.

I think Columbia, Mexico, and Greenland are still off limit.

He's in a minority, most experts I read say the project is a failure. Iran wasn't a threat to its neighbors until it started getting bombed and many neighbors host US military assets, bases.

If genuine negotiations had continued nobody would have died and oil markets would be stable, but Israel would have been bitching as it always does when it can't get its own way.

As for Navy and Air Force, Iran never hand much in those areas, that isn't where they invested, so destroying them is just incidental.

Finally Al-Jazeera is based in Qatar, a perpetual dictatorial monarchy that has been subjected to attacks from Iran, there are limits to how it can express news.
