If GW isn't a realistic threat in the future, our liberal friends will find some other way to frighten the people into demanding new green deals and other socialistic schemes to save them.

Expect the libs to find problems with fusion reactors and why they shouldn't be allowed. Something with the promise to create an economy of plenty poses a real risk to them.

Sadly this is not the case. As the northern permafrost melts it is releasing megatons of trapped methane, an even more potent greenhouse gas than CO2. We are probably fucked. There will eventually be some new state of equilibrium but there will be no going back to the old normal.

They've been saying fusion reactors are just around the corner for 50 years.

I think nuclear reactors are a great stop gap measure. They don't emit greenhouse gases.

As long as we can safely store their radioactive byproducts for a couple of thousand years, we're okay.

The Everglades will flood but (you kinda skipped over the real damage) so will the whole East and Gulf Coast along with it.
