We never had a war on drugs... we had words only.... now we are taking the fight to the source....

Then you should be responsible for getting them in to rehab too...imo.

That is largely a local issue... the feds can only cut off the supply and make the poison harder to find and more expensive... that being said the budget has money for involuntary commitment/treatment... now the states must enact it... if they really care about people as they claim to they will...

I disagree. I lost a cousin last year because he was never able to get clean. He left behind a younger brother, his dad, and a son and of course the extended members of his family like me for example. Anything that can lead to death is what makes it the business of others.

P.S. I could be wrong, but I don't believe that my cousin ever spent any time in jail. Maybe if he had been put away, he would still be alive, but of course now, we will never know.

^^^ Don't forget that people can drive under the influence of drugs and then wreck which can lead to death other people which will definitely mean a prison sentence for the perpetrator.
