I am old and cold. Maybe too bold?

I get gas for my car on Tuesdays and water for the house. My wife and I long ago stopped drinking from a faucet. This is a cold winter, and I do not have the money to be a snowbird. I just got home, and the cold has chilled me to the bone; pumping gas in a high wind will do that. I am going to take a hot shower “before” I go to the gym just to get the chill out. I will take another later. I know I am probably killing polar bears and whales to keep my Boomer bones warm.

That might be why they can’t find more money for Social Security. Let’s see, I got my first job in 1962 and retired in 2015. My eyesight is good because I just had cataract surgery, 20/20. The astigmatism I had for distance vision was erased by the procedure. That’s one thing that is good from Uncle Sam. A lot of people have been brainwashed to hate the world; I am not one of them. If you are not a polar bear or a whale, you are safe from this Boomer.

Yea it's cold, was 0 degrees this morning here, but I always try to remember how Native Americans survived this in their tipi's.

They did, they were tougher than we are. You are going to the gym at your age and still around because you figured out how to survive this long. I just got back from the gym and have also figured it out, but it could still all end tomorrow.

How long was my shower? Let's see, I would say it was about 3 polar bears and 2 whales. Just think someday you will scan your retina at your shower before you turn it on so the state can see how long you were in there and how hot the water was. If you are poor you will be limited to a day a week and it f you take too long you will pay a fine. If you are a state bureaucrat your showers will of course, be unlimited.

Then, for those even younger, you will someday take a shower that is automatically controlled by the state in both time and temperature.
