I have no doubt it was his entrepreneurial spirit that drove his wealth accumulation on the paintings. I doubt the premium paid was for a new-found talent in painting but rather his access to political capital and the paintings were just a front because we know the optics would be horrible if he were explicitly selling his political access.

Either way, if I were a communist, I’d be calling for redistribution of his wealth which I am not. That should be the call from you people.
