How would you react if upper middle class and rich Americans didn't want mansions and fancy European cars and instead were content with McMansions and normal cars in order to massively fund the space program? They also would stop looking down on manual labor and aspire to build a infrastructure to make sure something like the Ohio disaster would never happen again.

There would also be massive taxes on the super rich to fund better healthcare, education, and a total end to inequality.

There would be massive numbers of American youth aspiring to become scientists and engineers.

How would you react? How would the world react? If American wanted to better itself to dominate the world and the universe?

Private industry is the future of space travel. NASA like all government departments and programs is a bloated, bureaucratic black hole nightmare sucking up tax payer money.
