One of the best years I can remember. A great President who's doing everything I voted for, a great economy, and I came out of retirement and am working a real job again.

I turned 60 this year.
And with that was a lot of introspection.
At time when you realize the true profoundness of this line - "life doesn't come with a rewind button". You do not get to do anything again. And the years you have left are limited, and you will not get to do them again either.
My wife and I are in the 2nd to last transitional period in our lives - nearing retirement. And what that really means. I was fortunate to find a youtuber, a man who spent decades specializing in retirement preparation - not just financially, but mentally also. And the mental part is big.
I also got another grandchild, a boy this time. (the other 2 are girls) so obviously we are enjoying them. But they do not define us as our own children did, we define ourselves now. Only the two of us really matter at this point. Other folks here my age and higher, understand what I mean by that.

I made 8 figures. Sorry you did so poorly.

I went through that phase in my twenties. Life was real good back then!
