"Puberty blockers for under-18s banned indefinitely"

"
The ban on giving puberty blockers to under-18s questioning their gender identify is to be made permanent, Health Secretary Wes Streeting has announced.

Streeting told MPs he was making the temporary ban introduced in May indefinite across the UK, following a consultation and advice from the Commission on Human Medicines - calling the way the drugs had been used a "scandal".

The expert group said prescribing the drugs to children for gender dysphoria was an "unacceptable safety risk"."

Wes Streeting is from the Labour Party, the left wing party. This is happening without much uproar, it's happening because it's the right thing to do.

In the US this would be something huge, and the left would have taken its side on the issue and the right its side and they'd fight it out, because US politics is mental.

I don't get what you're trying to say. If the UK banned puberty blockers, that's a good thing. Conservatives and Republicans also want to ban puberty blockers in the US, for those under 18.

So are we the sensible ones like those in the UK?

Wow! It has been a long time since the UK government has actually done something right.

When are they going to stop the Islamic invasion? huh?

About time don't you think?

18 or 21, puberty blockers would be besides the point.

You know, there are legit reasons for puberty blockers besides gender affirming care.

Those people won't get help, either.

The vast majority of use of these drugs is for the sexual abuse of children, so called "affirming care"

Use for other reasons, like preserving a young boy's voice for service in a choir as a "castrati" really isn't legit either.

The NHS system can't meet its basic obligations to the people, much less get involved in this.

These puberty blockers are expensive

I agree, there is far more abuse of children going on with the Catholic Church than Gender Affirming Care, but I don't see anyone trying to ban Catholicism.

The ban is for gender affirming care only. Children with precocious puberty can still be treated with them.
