The Obama administration isn’t only giving the Taliban back its commanders — it’s giving them weapons.

Miliary records and sources reveal that on July 25, 2012, Taliban fighters in Kunar province successfully targeted a US Army CH-47 helicopter with a new generation Stinger missile.

They thought they had a surefire kill. But instead of bursting into flames, the Chinook just disappeared into the darkness as the American pilot recovered control of the aircraft and brought it to the ground in a hard landing.

America's policies in the middle east and area have been a total balls up for many years.
Not a single policy has actually worked out well for America or Americans since WWII.
Many will blame Obama for this, quite rightly, but no one will bother to look back any further, say to America arming the brave Afghani freedom fighters, later the evil anti American Taliban.
The whole area is fucked up because American governments have removed governments, sponsored coups and armed or assisted total bastards.
Saddam is a prime example of what happens when you back the wrong horse.

Besides denouncing Obama for continuing Bush's failed wars in the first place, and going so far as to call for Obama to die in solitary confinement for the extrajudicial assassination of an American teenager without due process of our nation's laws as guaranteed by the US Constitution, there isn't much short of armed revolution that liberals can do to hate Obama more.

What do you want to do? Impeach Obama? Don't you have more than enough evidence to do that? Or do Republicans just like to bloviate and not do anything of real substance out of fear that their own party's leaders will have their war crimes prosecuted as well?

Who didn't know that the US was funding both sides of this war?

US aid goes to Pakistan, Pakistan sends some to al-Qaeda, the US has just funded a war against itself. This has been going on since the beginning. Obama also approved funds for African countries that have admitted using those funds to kidnap and brainwash child soldiers.

Since America doesn't have any moral authority, and since Americans insist that global weapon sales and war are big business essential to the success of whoever, you should get used to the US funding war against itself. After all, what's the point of having a standing army if you don't use it on someone, right?
