The state now boasts more retail cannabis stores than Colorado, Oregon and Washington combined. In October, it eclipsed California as the state with the largest number of licensed cannabis farms, which now number more than 9,000, despite a population only a tenth of California’s.

It is only legal medically, but 10% of the population has a medical card for cannabis.

Red staters like their cannabis as much as blue staters.
Maybe so, but most times their governments don't care about that. As they watch their blue state neighbors haul in record amounts of cash, something tells me these greedy ***** will come around on that.

The difference is the Red States probably won't overtax the new legal markets. Overtaxing in places like California has turned one black market (the ban black market) into another type of black market (the undersell black market)

I'm all for legalizing drugs and taxing them and using the money to help provide resources for drug addiction. Sell it through pharmacies and that way you can track those that may have addiction issues. The same for prostitution as well. It is going to happen and if we bring it into the open we will get rid of most of the criminal element and also free up a lot of jail space for real criminals.
