I would make it impossible for them to stay here by requiring every governmental agency to turn illegals over to ICE any time they came into contact with an illegal. Go to the emergency room- get life-saving treatment and get turned over to ICE. Get a traffic ticket- get turned over to ICE, try to register a kid for school-get turned over to ICE. Fail to register a kid for school-get turned over to ICE. Steal a SSAN to work- make the IRS turn over everyone using that SSAN to ICE with the exception of the actual citizen. File for welfare in any of its multitudness forms- get turned over to ICE. Jaywalk- get turned over to ICE. Apply for a driver’s license-get turned over to ICE. Get caught driving without a license- get turned over to ICE. Set up an endless chain of Catch-22s make illegal immigrants damned if they do anything and damned if they don’t do anything.

The thing that triggered this war was that Zelenskyy tried to defeat the LPR and DPR on the battlefield.

Nothing more. Nothing less.

And after Trump gets done tanking the economy, we'll be remembering Biden as "The Good Old Days".

Well, the Confederacy was seceding because a bunch of rich white assholes wanted to keep owning black people.

The DPR and LPR supported Yanukovych, who was elected in a contest even Jimmy Carter said was fair and reasonable. In short, Ethnic Russias were allowed to participate in the process and were represented.

Then the Maidan Coup happened. It happened because Yanukovych refused to sign a treaty with the EU that would have required Ukraine to cut off economic ties with Russia. Yanukovych said that he would need 16 billion dollars over 3 years to do that. Brussels offered a paltry 689 Million. Yanukovych walked and signed a deal with Putin instead.

At that point, the EU and yes, the Obama Administration, openly encouraged pro-Western politicians to demonstrate and eventually depose Yanukovych. (Yanukovych didn't help his case by ordering his police to fire on demonstrators.)

After that, Ethnic Russians said, **** this shit, and wanted out, and who could blame them?

Now, if you want an example, imagine if the Chinese bribed a bunch of Democrats to stage a coup against Trump, what do you think the response of the Red States would be?

Another key point. There was an agreement in place called the Minsk Accords, that would allow autonomy in the LPR and DPR until fair elections could be held to determine their ultimate status. Zelenskyy violated the Minsk Accords by seeking a military victory.

Now, none of this excuses what Putin did. If I were assigning blame for this attrocity, I would put 70% of the blame on Putin, and 30% of the blame on Zelenskyy. But we are well past "blame", and the whole thing has become pointless. The front lines haven't moved in years, but thousands of people are still dying.
