Out here on the farm, propane is currently $1.79 per gallon. 200 gallons will last about 8 - 12 weeks depending on the weather.

Being that about 85% of the combustion is returned as heat, and that one gallon of propane will provide 91,000+ BTU's, I consume about 26.67 kW/h of heat energy per gallon of propane.

That's $0.07 per kW/h of heat energy, soothing my achy bones in the frigid Missouri winter.
