This story is on auto-repeat. Every few weeks a kid from a regular American family walks into a school and shoots it up, or this week’s flavor, tries to assassinate the leader of his own party. Thoughts and prayers are not working folks. We are living in one of the lowest crime eras in history yet these random acts of violence continue to put a blood stain on our otherwise safe school hallways and town sidewalks.

I will grant you righties that confiscating everyone’s gun isnt reasonable but neither is doing nothing nor is “just get over it” as the former president said when he was in office.

Im curious as to how you think we should stop these typically white male sad loner shooters from killing?

Actually, CG , there is more random gun violence from African American youths that white young people.

Racist Groups like the Cripz and Bloodz- who are exclusively black- are going out every day of the week, doing drivebys.

Exhibit A why we can't address this issue.

"Hey, look over there".

Most mass shootings in the US are perpetrated by blacks or Hispanics.

In the odd event that a white person does it, it makes national or sometimes international headlines.

not what your boy sez

We already know how to address the issue. Lock up the violent criminals and throw away the key.

Never mind most of them have nothing to lock them up on.

Now maybe someone serious will reply.

Limit the availability of guns.

Won’t happen but that is the only way.

If the Secret Service can’t protect Trump how is Mrs Crabtree going to protect her 4th grade class?

If we didn't know before, Presidente Bukele has been doing a tremendous job of reducing violence in the Tremendous Nation of El Salvador.

The Cecot facility for gangsters who were shooting up the country is really working out.

Did you read the very short OP? Crime is very low but mass shootings are up. It’s a specific kind of senseless crime that is rising.

Prior to Columbine, you rarely ever heard about something like this happening, so something in our society changed. The question is, what? I'm honestly surprised nobody from any university or any renowned psychologist hasn't taken time to interview some of these shooters and flat out ask them why they did it? What drove them? What was their motivation? You could publish a thesis on this and probably teach a whole class on the information learned from it.

9/11 happened and the airports and planes became Fort Knox to stop any copycats. Columbine happened and we said “meh, lets just give thoughts and prayers”.
