How did we get here? The same way we humans have always found ourselves in bad situations. Arrogance, Hypocrisy, and Propaganda.

I honestly don’t know what it is about Humans that makes us think that we know what is best for everyone. But we all do it. We look at a business and think they could be better if they just do what we think is right. We do it as Employees, grumbling to our mates over the stupidity of the Management. We do it as people looking at Battles of History or events and throwing up our hands at the idiocy of the people in charge.

What is worse, is that we start to ascribe the worst possible motivations to those people in history. It is the arrogance of humanity to do this. We need to recognize it as a people and learn to reign it in. We need to look at History not as Racists or Homophobes or whatever who wanted to rule the world. But people doing the best they could under the circumstances. The outcomes were not always perfect, but as Billy Joel said in the song. We didn’t start the fire. We didn’t light it but we tried to fight it.

We look at the Cities we don’t live in and announce that things in that city would be perfect if they just did what we wanted, instead of the voters who actually live there. We look at Politicians from outside our districts, whom we have no say in electing, and announce that anyone who would vote for them is an idiot. And we all do this. Right, and Left.

The Right hates Nancy Pelosi. But she keeps being reelected. So the Right hates the people who vote for her. The Left hates others, and I am not going to go down the rabbit hole of naming everyone that someone else hates. I needed one example.

It is one of the reasons Term Limits fail. Because everyone wants their Politician to keep serving, while stopping that other politician way over there to be kicked out of office. Arrogance. We can’t see that all our Politicians suck.

Hypocrisy. We are quick to point out the failures and bad behavior of the other side, while minimizing the misbehavior and failures of our own side. I can name failures of both sides. The Truth is, the bad things would probably still happen. Stopping Hitler. It was already too late. To do that you would have to go back and tell the victorious Allies that expecting Germany to pay for the war at Versailles would lead to doom. They were told, but maybe you can make them listen. But what if they did listen? The people in their own nations would tear them to shreds, wanting to make the Germans, the Huns suffer as they believe they deserved. The Propaganda used by both sides of the war was more than sufficient to make the people hate them. On both sides.

Well, we go back to before the war. We stop the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand. That will stop Hitler or any other evil from arising. No, it was going to go. Eventually. The decades leading to the First World War were filled with suspicions and arrogance. The Kaiser wanted to have Germany Respected like France was. He wanted World Leaders to fawn over Berlin as they did in Paris. He wanted his place in the Sun. A leader of the leaders of the world.

Each step back you go, you find it was already too late. The Propaganda had already poisoned the well. Perhaps if the Germans did not take Alsace and Lorraine in the war of 1890. Perhaps if Napoleon never came. Perhaps if Waterloo never happened.

We want to believe we are good and right and powerful. But all of us want to believe that. The Propaganda we are fed from so many sources creates this idea that our people are awesome, far better than those people. Our science and technology is way better. Our culture is superior. And if we are God’s Chosen, even if we don’t put it into words, we should be the ones in charge. It is our right.

Today, the propaganda is as bad as it ever has been. No Politician ever speaks of friends. They are enemies. No politician says we are all Americans. They are going to ruin this country and destroy it. We have been doing this so long we are on the brink of a social collapse, and both sides want it. Because then, we can finally be rid of those Fascists. We can be rid of those Socialists. We can be rid of them. Then this Country will be truly Great again, because we got rid of the Subversive Elements that are holding us back.

We got here through Arrogance. Through Hypocrisy, and through Propaganda. And I honestly think that much like Hitler in Germany in the early 1930’s. It is already too late to change.

Oh, and if you kill Hitler and eradicate the Nazi Party. The Communists take over, or the Army takes over, and you end up with a military dictatorship, or a Communist Nation, intent on bringing their nation into the leadership of the world, again. As I said, it was already too late.

If you truly think it is too late, then, it is for you.

It has been years building to this point. A combination of several factors such as culture, globalism, education or lack thereof in some cases. An overly partisan media (on both sides), politics becoming an almost full time profession even at the state and local level. That is just a macro explanation IMO. But the factors I listed put us on the present course.

Let's hope that kickin' occurs....but if it's not a 49 state loss for the Democrats, I fear that in the long run, this country is lost.
