Hardly. I work full time for a hospital but help a staffing agency that has been trying to place folks that lost their jobs during the last two/three years who still can't find work.

I have met low wage earning righties also....I had someone always saying in my ear, get a trade, until he passed in 1991...I made sure my kids knew at least two trades I have had to start with, to earn twice if not three times min wage...

I started working in 1973 at 12 to help my family out and none of us smoked weed then...yet there was times we starved, not because of booze or dope, it was from poor employment possibilities for single mothers..And I still work to this day, except today cause it's snowing..
