In the House Speaker Vote on January 3, 2025 it looks like yet again, the Holdouts Will Win.

The Speaker if it is Johnson will make deals and promises with these outliers.

It does not bode well for the nation. Since Democrats lost the House and the MAGA crowd has taken over the GOP, the Legislature has been in Chaos.

Louisiana Republican Mike Johnson is walking off the House floor. The vote is not over yet as the holdouts need to declare who they’re supporting, but Johnson has moved into a special holding room to determine what happens next.

I'm not sure why anyone would want to be speaker when all you can afford to lose is one vote. He won't be able to get anything passed for months once he loses the three who are leaving.

Johnson got his warning that they (Republicans) have the 9 votes to oust him.
