Michael Brown of Union County, NC speaks about the charges filed against him.

A massive party at a $4.3 million mansion in Weddington, North Carolina — allegedly held without the owner’s permission — landed one man in jail. WSOC-TV reports that 37-year-old Michael Brown broke into a client’s home and held a graduation party for his son while the owners were away. Brown was charged with breaking and entering, property damage and obtaining property by false pretenses. He has since posted a $10,000 secured bond.

Brown, however, maintains his actions weren’t criminal. "I didn't break the law, I just broke some rules, probably, with my owners…but I didn't break the law," he told WSOC-TV reporters.

Officers say they were called to the million-dollar mansion on Twelve Mile Creek Road last Saturday night after neighbors reported blocked roads, loud noise and a traffic hazard. When they arrived, they say Brown first claimed to be the homeowner, then the homeowner’s grandson, before finally admitting he was the landscaper.

Clearly the reason the police detained him was because law enforcement is systemically racist.

Can i get a good Amen IQ2?

He should be along any second now.............................

You wonder what goes through some people's heads. Getting my Aunt's house ready to sell was one of the most stressful things I've gone through lately. Endless minor and major repairs--this is a high value upscale home in a highly regulated neighborhood--to satisfy the inspectors, but we did it. She got her asking price.

The buyer asked for a few other relatively minor things before closing the deal but nothing that was really unreasonable. So we're ready to close and I went in with the cleaning crew for a professional cleaning he had requested. And there I found that the weird next door neighbor--a former friend of us all--who swore she did not have a house key--had been there and left half a box of stale donuts in the fridge along with her name, address, phone number, and welcome message. Her dog, that she has never housebroken, also left a little present on the floor in the kitchen dining area and a pee spot on the carpet.

I could just imagine the new owner finding that on his final walk through and deciding he didn't want any part of that stuff and backing out of the deal.

I got rid of the stale donuts and cleaned up the dog mess and notified the neighbor that if she EVER entered that house or the property without the express permission of the owner again, I would report her to the police for criminal trespass.

I would have too. I would wanted the book thrown at that landscaper who violated and damaged my home.

His ancestors were owned by the homeowners' ancestors.

Call it reparations.
