WASHINGTON — The House on Wednesday voted down a measure to censure Democratic Rep. LaMonica McIver and remove her from a committee assignment over her role in a tense confrontation with law enforcement at a New Jersey immigration detention center in May.

Five Republican members defcted and joined all Democrats to kill the resolution. Two other Republicans voted present. That was enough to table the measure.

Rep. Clay Higgins, R-La., had introduced the resolution Tuesday night as a privileged matter, the fast-track process that forces a vote within two legislative days. This was his second attempt, as he had also introduced the resolution before the August recess.

This total BS anyway. The indictment was sham and nothing more than political theater. As an Elected Representative in Congress she the right to inspect the the Detention Center. Denying her access was against the law, but there was no indictment for that.

I am not aware that an elected representative can attack a federal agent and can get away with it. I guess no one is above the law only applies to Trump.

The fact that you didnt mention her shoving people around and hitting people, tells us all that we need to know. You are opening this debate from a clearly dishonest position. The reason you didnt mention it is because, you know that your argument completely falls apart when you recognize the actual facts.

The Jan 6 crew is mad about a woman trying to execute constitutionally given oversight. Could anything be more hypocritical?

Untrue. And you cannot support that fictional claim.
Denying her access was against the law,
No it wasn’t. Not at all. And, again, you cannot support your claim.
but there was no indictment for that.
There usually aren’t indictments for non crimes.

It is her RIGHT as a member of CONGRESS to enter and inspect ICE Detention Centers. Now, of course she a BLACK WOMAN and that might have something to do with it.

If Criminals can't serve in Congress, we'd be down to like 5 Congressmen, maybe 6

Yup. No doubt.

She was guilty of assault and battery forcing the issue then playing the victim. It worked well for the GOP who are deporting illegals with the approval of America. Democrats are now the party of criminals and the optics of her fake attempt to play the victim will make great campaign add. Its an act of desperation bt a party thats in decline

When you think only the ruling you like are biased... you might be biased.
Or maybe you're just honestly trying to be fair. You are entitled to 'your truths', that open borders, higher taxes, defunding cops, no cash bond, releasing violent criminals from jail, government mandates, DEI, CRT, and lawfare against conservatives are all good. But reasonable people will differ.

So you didnt answer the question. 26 District Judges sentenced Jan 6 criminals. 26. About half (44%) were appointed by Trump or other GOP presidents. If you disagree with all of them you might be biased dipshit. I loved your conspiracy rant to try and cover up your bias by bathing in bias.

Thats good, but take note, had that been a democrat congress and a republican on the block, they ALL would have voted to censure, no matter the circumstance.

So you didnt answer the question.
Your post that I replied to was, "When you think only the ruling you like are biased... you might be biased". First of all, that's not a question. Second, it makes no sense. Third, it is exactly what we have come to expect from you.

More emotion from you. 44_% of the convictions were by gop appointees. You have no answers. You’re just a shill. Come back when you have facts. I dispatch facts like a pro. Your emotions are useless.

As stated before, it is her right, as a sitting member of the House of Representatives to inspect the ICE Detention Center. ICE had no valid legal reason for denying access that she is entitled to by Federal Law.
