I am a law and order man. However, it is hard not to feel that this is true justice in this case, and that the meager prison sentence for this scumbag was hindering justice.
I'm just trying to figure out how a guy who rapes and murders a 9 year old gets let out of jail.
Clearly, the justice system is broken, OTOH, they have criminalized EVERYTHING. There is hardly nothing you can do these days which is not now regulated by some "law." Except anything pertaining to politicians activities, actions, histories and behavior, they can do anything.
But conversely, they've made it near impossible to prosecute anyone. If you even get them in court, they are let go on lenient charges. If you manage to get them in jail, you can almost never execute them.
Naturally, we end up with full, overcrowded jails to where now, they are looking for reasons NOT to add to the prison population.
Clearly, the legal system is not working, it is not deterring crime, and it is certainly not rehabilitating anyone much less discharging the small faction of society which is beyond rehab, and it may all begin with a failed educational system which fails to teach children morality and ethics, fails to teach them religion or responsible firearm safety. Instead, our schools worry whether you are friendly and conducive toward respecting Islamic holidays and observations and using the proper preferred pronouns for transgender boy/girls.
