I was born and raised in Cherokee, Iowa, which claimed to be the smallest city in the world with a symphony orchestra.

What is your hometown, and what factoid do you find most interesting about it?

I was born and raised in Sioux Falls, SD, and I find the most interesting thing about it is the pink Sioux quartzite granite that's used for everything, construction-wise. Lots of the roads are paved with crushed Sioux quartzite granite, all across South Dakota, making the roads pink, and there is a lot of old Romanesque architecture crafted in the pink stone.

Here's a picture of the Falls Park of the Big Sioux River, with massive outcrops of the Sioux quartzite. This lovely pink stone is literally EVERYWHERE where I live.

Factoid does not mean "a trivial or interesting little fact."Quit parroting the media's language. Their education is a fraud; they are nothing but job thieves—all over the spectrum.

The suffix -oid means "resembling"; it is not a diminutive. Android means "resembling a man"; asteroid means "resembling a star." A factoid about a hometown would mean something it has a reputation among outsiders for being that is simply not true.
