Home Depot says it will not raise its prices because of tariffs

Well, they build crap vehicles. Not worth their current price. If they wish to survive, they better not raise prices until they figure out quality control.

My guess is they are trying to clear inventory so dealerships still take delivery of 2026 vehicles without freaking out that they they are still on the hook for the unsold 2025's just sitting there. I don't disagree about Fords being crap. It is why I went from an F-150 to a chevy.

That's what Home Depot says now, we'll see whether what they do is a whole other matter in a few months from now.

The heck with Walmart for raising their prices and blaming it on the tariffs. Home Depot says it won't be doing the same because they've been diversifying their sources.

Home Depot says it doesn't expect to boost prices because of tariffs

"Home Depot doesn't expect to raise prices because of tariffs, saying it has spent years diversifying the sources for the goods on its shelves.

Billy Bastek, executive vice president of merchandising, said during a conference call on Tuesday that Home Depot's suppliers have shifted sourcing across several countries and that the company doesn't expect any single country outside of the U.S. will represent more than 10% of its purchases 12 months from now.

“We don’t see broad based price increases for our customers at all going forward,” he said.

Other companies, domestic and foreign, have warned customers that price hikes are on the way due to a trade war kicked off by the U.S."

Very smart. Walmart’s dumb political announcement caused their stock to tank. HDs will probably rise.

Home Depot is a shit store anyways. Menards has always been king around here.

/----/ Tariffs hit an all time high, and straight to the Treasury to pay down the debt.

And it is hard to find stuff in stock.
This is definitely true. I've been searching for a number of things and home depot has a lot, but when you hit the button for in-store, everything disappears.

I've been searching for chaise lounge type reclining beach chairs. Home depot has zero chairs in stock.

Home depot no longer has dryers on display at my store. Just washers.

I need a new range exhaust. I'll have to order it online bc Home depot has 4 in-store, all from the same brand.

A few weeks ago I was looking for something. I asked the young girl. I said it's probably near wherever you keep the PVC pipes. She said "I don't know what PVC pipes are" while frantically looking it up on her phone.

It's not the same store it used to be.
