No one should forget. But living memory is almost gone.

The Holocaust brought into being the concept of War Crimes, the international order we take for granted, our asylum laws (a direct result of our refusal to take in desperate refugees fleeing genocide).

All of that is crumbling as is our recognition of the humanity of “the other” and the suffering of others who aren’t an acceptable race, religion, nationality or ethnicity. And this is happening around the world. Worse it is being embraced, defended, applauded and held up like a banner.

God help us if history repeats itself.
