WASHINGTON, D.C. — Members of Congress are sounding the alarm that President Trump's efforts to end the war in Ukraine could result in actual peace
The warning comes on the heels of recent news that Trump has sent a delegation led by Secretary of State Marco Rubio to meet with Russian envoys in Saudi Arabia to discuss how they can come to terms in ending a war that has shattered a country, taken an estimated 300,000 lives, and displaced millions.
"Trump is evil for wanting this peace. Sure, on the surface it looks good, but what he is just trying to fire all the troops currently at war over there, just like he is firing federal workers that never show up to work in the Swamp", warned House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries. "Unemployment will skyrocket with all the out of work soldier and defense contractors in the US giving them arms. What then? I'm sure he won't hire them all back."
"Reminds me of the Abraham Accord fiasco", said Senator Chuck Schumer. "That peace deal with Israel and their Arab neighbors killed all kinds of defense contracts here in the US. Thank God Biden got elected so that war could start against those Nazi Zionists once again!"
