I think all these comparisons really degrade the role Hitler played. Hitler was the most evil dictator of modern times, and comparing everyone under the sun to Hitler removes the impact. It also reveals you as immature, as you can find no other way to discredit your opponent.

Did you notice that the point of the thread is how tiresome it is to compare people to Hitler? And you respond to my attempt to put Hitler in perspective by... calling me Hitler.

Yes, I stick up for white people. Yes, I point out things that other groups do that aren't so good for white people. That's not "hate" or evil, it's just not something most folks are used to hearing.

I agree. I once put together a short quiz on Hitler for a trivia site. It was more about his personal life than his dictatorship. I originally called it "The Softer Side of Hitler", because I thought it was kind of funny. A moderator asked me to change the name of the quiz because he thought it implied that Hitler wasn't such a bad guy and would make light of what he stood for and what he was. Now, everytime somebody double dips a chip, they are compared to Hitler.

For the record, I don't recall ever being compared directly to Hitler, but I have been called a Nazi on several occasions. I guess I'm still working my way up the ranks.
