Nope, you don't even understand what was going on at the time. Obama has just declared that Al Qaeda was on the run and that he had beaten them. It was September before the 2012 elections. A terrorist attack on a US consulate would have shown that he was lying when he declared al Qaeda beaten. Sooooooooooo, they created a cover story about a stupid video and refused to acknowledge the terrorist attack because to do so might have hurt his reelection campaign.

verbal drone strike. Every one in the Trump camp ran for the tall grass.
