I understand your concerns, however I'm of the opinion that we should be evaluating individuals based on their merits rather than where they hail from or how long they've been a citizen. There are plenty of natural born citizens in positions of power that have no business being there, so it appears that a person's place of birth isn't a very reliable litmus test.
