Here's a question I'd like to ask Kevin McCarthy.

Hey Kev, what happened between this.........

.........and this?

You went from contemplating making the appropriate suggestion to trump that he resign after his traitorous actions on J6 to going to MAL and massaging his nuts.

That call with Repub House leadership after the failed attempt to steal the election (many of the plot's details were not known yet) was the act of someone grounded in reality. Shaken by what happened on J6 and trump's role in it. The act of a patriotic American thinking of his country, not his party.

In retrospect, given the anguish, chaos, and death trump has caused the country to endure, do you have any regrets? When trump revealed the true nature of his character, or lack thereof, putting on full display his willingness to cause a constitutional crisis for the country to maintain power for himself shouldn't you have paid attention? Do you wish you had?

So berg is still trying to tap dance around the fact that Trump won a massive victory in 2024, in spite of the Lawfare democrats threw at him, and in spite of two assassination attempts.
berg just doesn't get that democrats are toxic, and no amount of 'whataboutism' or <<<<spin>>>> is going to change that

Not really. (BTW, the margin of victory was small. The 2024 presidential election was close, not a landslide)

My point is McCarthy, McConnell, a number of R's saw J6 for what it was. An unparalleled act of treachery and a violation of trump's oath of office. Words can not adequately describe his act of betrayal to the country. Then, all was forgiven. Not just by leadership but by the rubes. As if they erased the plot to steal the election and nullify the votes of 81M Americans from their collective memories.

The opportunity to rid ourselves from this malevolent narcissist was there for the taking. Then it was lost. Now we're paying the price.

Why do you think Kevin was planning on asking trump to resign?

The slimiest of the slime, criminal, grifters and child molester protectors.

I often wonder this about congressional Republicans in general.

Obviously, there is the shameless, craven element. But I also wonder if their safety has been threatened.

This is being run like a Mafia family. Those types of threats would be perfectly predictable and in character.

He agrees, you're a whiny ****.

There is likely a credible fear of retribution from trump's mob that is physical in nature. At the least they can expect death threats if they do the right thing.

Mostly, I believe, they remain silent because they care about being re-elected more than they care about the fate of the country.

312 - 226 and winning all 7 swing states is a big win, can't call it "close"

I'm no fan of J6. But, and you hate the truth, NANCY PELOSI TAKES RESPONSIBILITY FOR J6, ON VIDEO.
She admits taking responsibility for not approving the requests, by Trump and Sund, for the National Guard.

We're celebrating every day that we have a real president in the WH.

No point in debunking that lie with the facts. I've already done so 3 or 4 times yet you keep repeating it.

Unfortunately, you have mastered the art of believing in lies and distortions of the truth. It's what makes you and those like you ideal trump supporters.

But because of its winner-take-all nature, the Electoral College isn't a good measure of closeness. Imagine an election where one candidate wins every state and district 50.1 percent to 49.9 percent. That candidate would romp to a 538-0 victory in the Electoral College, but that election was obviously still very close. The same principle was at play in the 2024 election: Trump won six of the seven major swing states (Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin) by 3.2 points or less. And he won Wisconsin by just 0.9 points, Michigan by just 1.4 points and Pennsylvania by just 1.7 points.

Thank God for the Electoral College.

Looking by county shows it was a massive Trump win.

But doesn't it crack you up how much these democraps are still freaking out about it? It must really suck being a democrap. And if the GOP doesn't fall into any democrap traps between now and the midterms, it seems the GOP will gain a few seats in the house and senate. Then Trump doesn't have anything to worry about and can go for their jugulars. And what really makes me smile is that there is a great chance JD Vance will be in the WH for 8 years. By the end of Vance even the worst losers will realize being a democrap sucks and then finally realize that the problem all along wasn't Trump, it was the democraps.

It is literally a form of mental illness.
There can be no other rational explanation.

They are Republicans who have helped to cause Jan. 6. If that in itself was real.

When I look at that map it makes me wonder how many of the rubes who voted for lower inflation and a stricter immigration policy (Dotard is now under water in polling on immigration) regret their votes.
