Helping the common people

You need to research the lyrics. They are:

When a president goes through the white house doors
An' does what he says he'll do
We'll all be drinking that free bubble up
And eating that rainbow stew

You did have the general idea! Did you know a bubble lug is a type of women's bag? I didn't! :abgg2q.jpg:

However, your idea is called socialism/Communism/Marxism in case you did not know.

You're correct, but the song was not my point it was just an intro. A little socialism is not a bad thing as long as the people can keep any one of their governments from having too much power, so that the people remain in control. As I said, a little socialism is not a bad thing necessarily; social security is socialist; It's a government owned and operated retirement insurance program.

Some people mistake me for a liberal or conservative but I'm actually neither. if you had to label me You might call me a moderate, but I see myself as a pragmatist. I agree with Trump in that the purpose of a government is to look after the interests of its citizens, including the poor ones. Honesty, pragmatism, and Liberty to me are the three most important words.

So we are all supposed to be driving Yugos? Standardized parts, and crappy ride? Fuck you. I will stick with my Lexus.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I get the feeling that you don't care about anyone but yourself. I like you have no problem with affording car repairs; I'm fortunate enough to have enough money that's not a big deal, but they're members of my family and clan that struggle to make ends meet from day-to-day month to month. I would like to see things be better for them.

Also, standardization of auto parts would not necessarily reduce the quality of cars; why would you think it would? And you could still buy luxury cars that the system did not apply to, or you could travel to a foreign country and buy a car there and ship it to the US, It sounds like to me that price is no obstacle for you.

Social Security is the biggest Ponzi Scheme ever devised. It takes from those working and gives it to those not working. Now that there are less people having babies, that future workers means less Social Security.

I left the United States to work overseas. I left my comfort zone. I worked my ass off, making really good money, so i could come back here, and not live a middle class lifestyle, worrying if i had to live paycheck to paycheck. Too many people rely on government for their next meal. People like that suck.

There's an old country song that goes like this in part," When politicians do what they say they going to do we will all be drinking that free bubble lug and eating that rainbow stew". The song in part makes fun of politicians promises and there is a certain amount of truth to it. Campaign after campaign Democrats promised to do this and do that and usually do nothing. If they really were interested in helping the common people, the working poor, they could do two things. The two biggest concerns of Lower income people are transportation and housing.

Making automobiles more affordable to maintain could be done by standardizing parts, in other words the government could mandate any car manufactured in the United States or imported would to have auto parts of about four different sizes. No matter what the brand of the car was it would fall into one of 4 sizes based on the engine size ranging from sizes like 1200 CC, 1600 CC, 2400 CC, and 4800 CC. Any part from any manufacturer would fit any other manufacturer's vehicle in the same size category; this would standardize parts and make them cheaper by taking advantage of economy of scale. An engine piston taken from any car would fit any engine of a car in that same size. The same would be true for things like tires. There would be exemption for super luxury cars like Rolls Royce.

Don't tell me that this legally can't be done the federal government can do anything that's not specifically prohibited by the constitution. The reason it most likely won't be done is because making cars more affordable would take some money out of the pockets of some individuals.
Better public transit. The only reason I own two vehicles is due to my wife, otherwise, I would be like I was before I got married without a car. Why do I need a car in NYC, when buses arrive at the bus stop every five minutes, and there's a train every five or seven minutes? I walk a lot more and I'm healthier, and it's just part of the culture here in NYC. Riding the train and buses, walking, riding a bike, rather than driving a car (unless you're my wife because she's from Miami and must have a car). In NYC you can easily sit on the bus next to a multimillionaire, or on the train. You don't miss a car when you're here.

I'm originally from Miami too, but I've been living here off and on since I was a child, since the 1970s. She's a new New Yorker, still has a lot of Miami in her, and that includes always driving a car, even if its to the store a block away.

The people who make others have to rely on a government check are the ones who really suck. And by the way, if you think only the poor or the working class rely on government checks you're quite confused.

Gov't regulations force manufacturers to make vehicle extremely complicated to save weight, survive crashes better, and reduce emissions. This comes at a cost. Adding more gov't regulations would only make matters worse. The gov't has to be rolled back
because it is crushing everything in its path.

Social Security and other entitlements like Medicare and Medicaid, have nothing to do with taking money away from those who are currently working. That's not how Social Security and Medicare, fund themselves. And BTW, our elderly parents, grandparents, great grandparents, should get assistance, when they're unable to work due to their age. Let them rest, they've worked hard enough. Give them a break. If you neglect them, they will cost everyone even more. It's the same with homelessness and other social ills. You fail to address them, to resolve the problem you end up paying more money.

It's the capitalists who own our government who are doing that, not the US government as it was originally designed and created by the people and for the people. Our government now is a plutocratic oligarchy, ruled by big-money capitalists i.e. corporations. They're the ones crushing and blowing up everything, in pursuit of profits, to the detriment of every working-class Joe American.

You've described one side of the globalist elites' coin. The other side is that they are driven by a secular humanist socialist philosophy. Everyone should be equally miserable except for them- the Philosopher Kings.
They have married their political ideology to their control the economy, so the argument can be made that they are left-wing fascists.

Capitalism is property rights and that is what the government was meant to protect

Wrong

entiitlements have EVERYTHING To do witht he working people being robbed to support others.

Thet is precisely how they fund themselves

I turned down a job offer at Swan Hose 46 years ago. Among other things they make garden hoses. Back then a good portion of their business was making hoses for car engines. I was told they were trying to reduce their reliance on that part of the business because of the ups and downs of the auto industry.

I used to play that Haggard tune. It's "drinking that free Bubble Up."

Making required government standardization always results in higher cost and less freedom of choice. That is antithetical to capitalism.

There was a time when nuts and bolts and screws were not standardized either, but now they are that don't seem to have affected anyone's freedom. Can you imagine working on a car and have to buy replacement screws from the car's manufacturer.

I used to be able to change the spark plugs in 20 minutes. Now part of the engine has to be removed to get to the spark plugs.
How often do you need a tune up now?

What was it back then? Every 15,000 miles?

Capitalism is mass production for a profit, at the cost of human labor. For example, you produce $500 daily for your employer i.e. exploiter/master, and he or she gives you $150, minus taxes, social security, medical insurance..etc. You end up bringing home $95 per shift. Capitalism is production for a profit at the expense of human labor.

Property rights aren't equivalent or synonymous with capitalism, because in socialism people also have property rights. The question is, what type of property are you referring to? There's private property vs personal property. Private property is that which is used to exploit others for a profit. Personal property is for personal use, in other words, it's not to exploit anyone else for monetary gain, i.e. profit. Your house, your plot of land where you grow your vegetables and raise chickens, personal computer, vehicle, gun collection, smartphone, toothbrush, that's personal property. In socialism, you have more of a right to your personal property, than under capitalism. What you don't have a right to in socialism, is private property. Get it?

In socialism, you don't pay property taxes, and have a human right (you were born with the right) to housing and your personal property in general. Notice how corporations now make you "log in" to use their product, or they force you to buy all of the coffee cartridges from them, or they don't allow you to repair your tractor, you're forced to hire an "approved", certified mechanic within their network or you lose certain valuable features in your tractor and all warranties and your ability to get full coverage for your equipment. You buy the product with your hard-earned money, but you don't own it. The company still has control over the damn product you bought and is monitoring you 24/7, sending usage data to the company.
