Hegseth vows to “take no quarter”

What defines us to the world is our words and actions.

Hegseths rhetoric does not help our image
Killing survivors clinging to wreckage does not help
Torture does not help
Lying about destroying a girls school does not help
I don’t think we’re viewed as an evil country that kills civilians by the rest of the world. The world knows Iran are the bad guys. The difference between us and them is stark.

US is better than that

The idea that we are better than Iran is not something to brag about
We used to be proud that our moral values were the best in the world

When the USS Tripoli and the amphibious assault group arrive to seize Kharg island, should they take no prisoners in their assault?

". . . The 31st MEU, meanwhile, includes a ground combat element, which features a battalion landing team — an infantry battalion and combat support elements — of around 1,100 Marines and sailors.

Also included is the aviation combat element, which features tilt-rotor and fixed-wing aircraft, transport and attack helicopters, ground support assets and air defense teams.

A combat logistics battalion with equipment and personnel capable of sustaining a MEU in austere environments for up to 15 days will also join the effort. This group includes medical, supply and explosive ordnance personnel, among others.

Requests for comment from the Pentagon and CENTCOM were not returned as of press time. The Navy told Military Times it would not be commenting.

The deployment of the Tripoli Amphibious Ready Group comes less than a year after a Military Times report found the readiness rate of the Navy’s amphibious assault ships had dropped to just 41% amid the Trump administration’s ramped-up effort to combat drug cartels in Latin America and the Caribbean.. . . "
And you know this how?

Hmmm

Tripoli. Hmmmm wonder why the name rings a bell. Iran.....Tripolli. is there a reason this is like old news.

Hmmm

Hegseth never ceases to amaze me

He was outraged at Kelly for reminding soldiers they are not obligated to follow unlawful orders

Then he makes a speech advocating what would be an unlawful order

Kelly……I told you so

How are you going to take prisoners, when you are bombing from hundreds of feet in the air?

Hegseth needs to realize he is not preaching to Fox viewers anymore

He is representing our country and our values to the world and more importantly to Iran.

If he wants to play the tough guy to Iran, he has to realise they will assume the same values in how to treat a US Soldier or Airman

Senator Mark Kelly calls out Sec of Defense Hegseth for claiming US will take no quarter against Iran.

Sounds like an unlawful order.

No quarter" means refusing to show mercy, spare lives, or take prisoners during conflict.

According to the International Committee of the Red Cross database of international humanitarian law, "the prohibition on declaring that no quarter will be given is a long-standing rule of customary international law already recognized in the Lieber Code, the Brussels Declaration and the Oxford Manual and codified in the Hague Regulations."

Hegseth did not declare "no quarter" as a direct order to the U.S. military during the press conference. Giving that order is considered a war crime under modern international law.

no more shits to give nuke.webp

America offers no quarter and machine guns any prisoners surrendering. Iran does the same to the USA and the USA screams bloody murder.

Hegseth is too stupid to realise that if he offers no quarters in dealing with Iranian prisoners…..they are justified to do the same to Americans

What is the significance of Elam in the Bible? | GotQuestions.org

Jerusalem (Jeremiah 25:25; Ezekiel 32:24). This raises an interesting question. How can God send Elam to attack and bring judgment to Israel and then turn and punish Elam for attacking Israel? We must not think of God telling the leaders of Elam to attack Israel and the leaders responding in humble obedience to God, and then God punishing them for obeying Him. No, the leaders of Elam had their own selfish purposes for attacking Israel, and God simply used them to bring judgment.
