Washington Times – Bias and Credibility

I post this to diffuse the denials that will come from the Trump supporters after they read this OP.

This is what I knew would happen, and it really should be happening in every department that is under the control of the executive branch, because the cabinet selected by Trump is wholly unqualified to be in the positions they are in.

‘He lost us’: Generals, senior officers say trust in Hegseth has evaporated

Secretary's critics worry Pentagon at risk of enduring damage amid firings, resignations and early retirements of high-ranking staff

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has lost the trust and respect of some top military commanders, with his public “grandstanding” widely seen as unprofessional and the personnel moves made by the former cable TV host leading to an unprecedented and dangerous exodus of talent from the Pentagon, said current senior military officers and current and former Defense Department officials.

Numerous high-ranking officers painted Mr. Hegseth’s Sept. 30 speech to hundreds of generals and admirals gathered at Marine Corps Base Quantico in Virginia as a turning point in how his leadership style, attitude and overall competency are viewed in the upper echelons of the U.S. armed forces.

“It was a massive waste of time. … If he ever had us, he lost us,” one current Army general told The Washington Times.

I doubt that whiskey pete ever had the general's respect.

Wasn't last week's tale that Hegseth was getting fired?
Stay on Topic.

Which is..... Hegseth is unqualified, a drunk, in way over his head, is a trump bootlicker, and has ZERO respect from the Generals.

You want something to do, find some quotes from within the last month, of Generals applauding Hegseth.

Democrats are entrenched liars. If there was a general applauding Hegseth, it would never see the light of day. Last week was a lie. This week is a lie. Next week will be another lie.

I'll believe they have lost faith when they resign and form a political party dedicated to removing civilian control of the military.

Until then, they are no better than overaged Spec Fours finding ways to get away with publicly talking shit about the commander.

Hegseth is not qualified to run the Defense Department. What you believe and don't believe is irrelevant.

Actually, since I voted for the winner, what I believe is much more relevant than your incessant blather.

What the hell does voting for the "winner" qualify you for? The question before us, is Pege Hegseth qualified? And no, he is not, not even close.

What kind of command experience has he had? The biggest responsibility he had while in the service was being an instructor for the counterinsurgency movement in Afghanistan, he taught one of the last classes. What did he train them to do, run?

While at Fox News he had an affair, with a superior, while married, that resulted in a child born out of wedlock. Dude, they court marshal you for that shit in the military. While you could spend time in the brig you would almost certainly be drummed out of the military. The man has no discipline, NONE.

What are the qualifications, and where are they written down?

I dunno.

What command experience is required?

It's a civilian position, is it not?

So . . . you don't like him?

Therefore he isn't qualified?

Or is "never had an affair" on the list of qualifications you are going to show me?

They didn't worry about a mentally impaired president with his trembling thumb on the nuclear button but anonymous Pentagon fat asses allegedly worry about Hegseth even after the Trump administration eliminated half a dozen brushfire wars and negotiated for a ceasefire in Gaza and released the hostages?? It's cheap propaganda.

Sounds like perfect qualifications for 2025. He is more qualified with what he has versus AOC getting in as pres with her qualifications as bartender.

Obla Dee, Obla Da ...

It is not the least bit surprising that a few enterprising journalists were able to find some senior military people who are appalled at the direction Hegseth is taking the Armed Forces.

The senior ranks are loaded with lifetime bureaucrats who got those stars by kissing the asses of their superiors, and have never shown any of the quality of leadership that is usually presumed with those stars on their shoulders.

But so what? Hegseth is right. He speaks about "lethality" and that, as they say, is "Job #1." If they want to promote social manipulations, experimentation with various forms of foolishness, etc., let them retire. They can easily be replaced. We have too many ******* Generals & Admirals anyway.
