If they want to do something practical to cut down on emissions, while at the same time something people like, let them move their state into a four day work week. One less day of rush hour, one less trip for school busses to make it back and forth to school.

You drove to work anyway to work 8 hours, what's another two more hours to have a three day weekend every weekend?

Yep. And add lanes and time the lights so you’re not spending 80% of your commute time idling.
