I don't really care for Russel Crowe. He's kind of one-dimensional.

But in this? Ho Li Fuk! He steals this movie.

However, this movie is so well put together, you'd think it was made in the 1940s.

About a half-dozen intense scenes, where they lower the background score and really draw you into the scene. It is masterfully done.

But Russel Crow won an Oscar I think.

I've wanted.to see it since it came out but Im not doling out the cash. I hope it goes onto Netflix or Prime soon. Playing Goring would be interesting because he was perhaps the least ideologically inspired nazi, he was more of a greedy aristocrat who just wanted.the power that his position in war would bring him. No less worthy of death for his crimes, though of course he cheated the hangman. There are differing theories as to how he obtained the cyanide capsules (he also had one hidden in some body cream or something). Just another sick puppy, though a little more grand and.socially kiniving than some of the other neanderthals who were more rabid in their hate.

They tried a bit of that tactic, but in the end, his evil became apparent, and he was unrepentant.

Crowe more than nailed it.

Yes I did see it and enjoyed it. Crowe did okay, but Brian Cox in the 2000 TNT version was a better Goring.

Well, I think that Crowe, and I'm not a huge fan, absolutely nailed it.

Watched it last night.
It is a solid movie. And Crowe's performance was outstanding. I recommend this movie to everyone.
As a piece of history - it fails. The movie overstates Kelley by a LOT.
Kelley was a mess, and his influence on the trials was small, certainly not how the movie shows where Goring would have got off if not for him. Kelley left, on his own accord, before the trials were over.
So, the movie is entertaining - but for me - it would have been more interesting to see the story of Robert Jackson vs. Goring. Which was heavily condensed to just one exchange, which the real trial was intense back and forth and a LOT of evidence.
But - they didn't want to make a "Trial movie".
So - as a movie - it is very good. Albeit innaccurate.
