Since Trump's election in 2016, there has been fearmongering on the left that, even if Trump is not a racist himself, he has enabled racism, such as in the case of racists who support his immigration policies.
Basically, while racist websites can be found on the internet, I think it would be difficult to quantify whether or not "racism" has actually increased. Maybe if we had statistics showing an increase in racist comments on social media, or an increase in hate crimes against racial minorities, we would have something to work with. But otherwise, I have no idea how someone would be able to prove a statement like this.
I will argue, though, that I believe people can be tribalistic by nature, and that this can potentially manifest in racist behavior. The left has also engaged in race-baiting and pitting racial minorities and people viewed as oppressed against the "mainstream".
