Regarding Israel being oppressive, I will have to say that it depends on your perspective of "oppressive." I personally believe that both Israel and Palestine have committed acts of violence that are unjustified, but I do believe that Israel is actually quite lenient with the Palestinians.
Israel is a Jewish nation, surrounded by people that hate them, and the Palestinians within their own country as well hate them. Yet, the anti-Israelis believe that Israel is not being lenient enough. If there was a section of this country containing Islamic radicals who decide to secede and then make war with the United States by sending rockets onto the homes of citizens and American cities, we would not stop until every single one of them were captured, or killed. I personally believe that if one thinks that Israel is not being lenient enough, then you should just be honest and tell the Israelis to toss their guns on the ground and tolerate terrorism against their own people until everyone of them dies.
It is not oppression to protect your own countrymen and brothers and sisters of faith from terrorism and the desires of Islamist factions and homicidal radicals. If it is, then I guess I would be an oppressor, and you can hate me all you want, but my ideas will still remain.
