How ironic a trick on us that right now, the Earth is actually near its perihelion (Winter Solstice) when the Earth is really closest to the Sun and whizzing through space the fastest.
Right now, the southern hemisphere broils in the summer radiant energy of the Sun high overhead.
Everything depends on the proper, delicate counterbalancing of the Moon damping out and giving Earth its stable wobble.

LOL, Praying for snow here. Warm winter so far and I haven't used my season pass even once. Maybe this weekend we'll get some in the mountains.
2026 is a year for new begginings.

This is first year, Jackson, allowed fireworks sale in the city.
Quite a show in the neighborhood from two directions, pretty impressive.
Then some idiot emptied a 15 round volley from a either a 9mm or a 40. That got answered with some other idiot doing 20 rounds from a AR15.
Were back inside now, as instead of New Years in Jackson, it started to sound more like Mogadishu on a Saturday night.
