Hope you are having a great day! I'll be watching the rest of the US Open with my wife and oldest son today. He's as crazy about golf as I am. It's too dang hot here to do much else.

Just as much as honoring our own father, this day should be a celebration of fatherhood. Like it or not, fatherhood is under attack now. The traditional role of the father in socializing children has been abandoned in the popular culture. When a child starts giving indications of sexual uncertainty, it is the father's role to straighten out the kid - "Take off that ******* dress," sort of thing. Dad's today are too timid and cowed to do that. look where that has led us.
Thanks for sharing that lovely story. Nothing like trolling a Father's Day thread.I work with a dude from Mississippi who's like that. His family is super fucked up.
His mother has never been married, two kids with two different men. The man that brought him up used to try being the "traditional father". He'd give the kids food and if they hadn't finished it within a short period of time, he'd take it away, so the guy I work with now eats super fast.
This guy, he used to attack single parent families, mostly because that's what you do when you're a racist from Mississippi. I'm not saying this guy is a racist, but the racists spout their nonsense and a lot of people just think this is how to think.
So, he got some girl knocked up, then got married some months later and had a kid. His kid turned 2 a few weeks ago. This guy kept saying he wanted to get divorced, now he doesn't because he thinks he'll lose custody of his kid.
But he proudly says he hits his kid. Proudly says he calls his wife a *****. Proudly does all kinds of things that make him not the best father. And yet, he has the same ******* idiotic views you do.
