BEIRUT: The Hamas and Fatah movements in Lebanon Monday reiterated their desire to fortify inter-Palestinian relations in Lebanon and maintain the stability of the country, at a bilateral meeting held between the parties at the Palestinian Embassy in Beirut.
“The meeting had been an opportunity to broach the most recent political developments, especially in the Palestinian scene, in addition to the many challenges facing the people of Palestine,” a statement issued in the wake of the meeting read.
“Both Palestinian sides affirmed the substantial need to commit to joint Palestinian activity to serve our people inside Palestinian refugee camps best,” the statement said, laying out the importance of resorting to peaceful means to thrash out disagreements and to help boost and develop relations with Lebanese authorities.
