I'm just amazed at how many houses here have big time Halloween decorations. Lights. Extravagant. The whole town. Crazy. 95 percent of the same houses are dormant at Christmas as far as decorations. Halloween is now the holiday to beat.

Yup I noticed there are a bunch of giant skeleton props up this year. It’s really become the holiday for witches and satanic types.

Yep. 95 percent of the same houses are not lit up during Christmas but that may have more to do with putting up lights in freezing weather.

I like several houses now that have skeletons just doing daily things. There is one house where a bunch of skeletons are camping, complete with fake fire and cooking marshmallows.

We just have some cute pumpkin lights for the littleins when they come Thursday.

In contrast to the OP. I have found those who put up Halloween stuff most often put up Christmas stuff also. We did haunted houses and the whole bit for years but I kind of burned out (and the back got messed up). So now we do Christmas lights mostly.

This is more than when I was a kid. Yet children going around trick or treating is not as huge in numbers as it was in the past. Some areas and neighborhoods still have many kids collecting treats though.
