Very interesting. Oats wants to sell his share of the catalog. But Hall doesn't want him to sell. Whoever Oats sells to can do whatever they want with the music. I just heard You Make My Dreams Come True on a Pepsi/Doritos commercial. I wonder who sold them the rights to that song. I'm sure they both agreed because a judge put a halt on the sale. Maybe Hall should have the right to buy it from Oats? I think that's what should first be offered. But what if he can't afford to match the offer? PERHAPS another solution would be Hall gets the opportunity to sell it to someone he wants to work with. Not the corporation who wants to buy it from Oats. If Hall doesn't want that company to be his new partner perhaps he can find another buyer. If not, Oats has the right to sell right?
