The CR will cut the spending for medicaid and ACA which isnt a continuing resolution - its a cutting resolution. All the democrats are demanding is keeping the current spending for those popular and life saving programs. The GOP can go get a filibuster proof majority if it wants to alter it. Good luck.

That was a debt ceiling raise, not a CR. Mitch McConnell decided not to default. There wasnt an attempt to change the spending level like the Republicans are trying to do. Its not like the Democrats back then had a massive cut to military it was trying to push through.
