The Woodstock Music Festival was originally supposed to be in Woodstock NY. But the site approval fell through and Max Yasgur offered his farm in Bethel which was about 40 miles away

Yes! That’s Yasgurs farm, site of Woodstock

Woodstock. Quite a show they put on. Not the musicians, the crowd.

We were traveling near there when I was a kid. Miles from the farm. There were vehicles parked all along the sides of the road, hippies walking to the farm.
