I gained weight just reading the recipe. Jeez! LOL!
And I doubled it! We are a family of 8 so lol
Glad to see you go by the "everything in measure" philosophy! lol!

Actually, every blue moon I love stuff like that. I might skip the cup of sugar, and pound of butter though. :)

Yeah with the apple pie filling it was a BIT sweet...next time might leave all the sugar out because the apple pie filling is more than enough sweetness.

On the rare occasions I eat grits, I serve mine with bacon, butter and cheddar cheese. The last three ingredients are the reason I eat grits rarely....... :lol:

Actually it sounds good. I just might have to try it and I think I'd mix it all together as well, but instead of the pie filling.....just use a sliced apple,

leftover cooked rice could substitute for the grits.....
