This is an Eagles-fanfare terrorism-parable inspired by The Last Boy Scout.

Cheers,

After winning huge on a fantastic Philadelphia Eagles (NFL) sports-bet for Super Bowl 52 [2018], Ajay decided to purchase a gray Eagles Super Bowl shirt and wear it with his gray sweatpants and gray and black jacket and take a selfie. Ajay was a huge fan of the color 'gray,' and he felt safe cheering for the Eagles in gray, since gray is such a 'neutral' color. After all, the Eagles' victory was arguably the greatest underdog-victory in Super Bowl history (maybe even greater than Joe Namath's iconic Jets win over Unitas's Colts last millennium!).

However, an agent working for the CIA was investigating all Eagles fanfare-photos posted on Facebook after Super Bowl 52. This agent (James Ryan) was assigned to track homeland Eagles sports-fanfare, since public displays of such fanfare might catch the eye of foreign terrorists (surfing on Facebook!). Ryan knew that since the Eagles win was such an awesome 'underdog-victory,' anti-American terrorists would target Philadelphia-area sites/monuments (especially since the Eagles defeated the New England 'Patriots' in that Super Bowl!). Everyone remembered that the Taliban attacked the World Trade Center on 9/11 (and 9-1-1 is the US emergency police calling code), so the CIA was on alert for any 'coincidental' activity. Ryan was sure that since the underdog Eagles defeated the favored Patriots, terrorists would be spying for Eagles-fanfare. Ryan decided to post a photo of himself (disguised as a pedestrian!) in a gray suit and post about Ajay's Eagles post (on Facebook).

Ajay wanted to know why 'Mr. Ryan' was so hyper about Ajay's gray Eagles Super Bowl shirt (since gray is such a 'neutral' color). Ajay joked to 'Mr. Ryan' and explained there was nothing outlandish or even offensive about the color gray and that his gray Eagles Super Bowl shirt should not draw any crazy ire. Ajay also posted (to 'Mr. Ryan') on Facebook that the mythical Gray Dragon was never a direct threat and breathed suffocating smoke (instead of fire) and therefore symbolized only generic danger (and not fiery hellish madness). 'Mr. Ryan' responded to Ajay, "I'm merely concerned that your overtly 'neutral Eagles' shirt might draw the attention of fanatic Patriots fans who might not *believe* you're simply being 'neutral' as an Eagles fan after Super Bowl 52!" Nevertheless, Ajay insisted that the Gray Dragon would serve as Ajay's 'protection-avatar.'

Ryan decided to use this 'gray' conversation with Ajay to begin a nationwide Eagles fanfare scouring (mostly on Facebook) involving any gray-colored Eagles merchandise/paraphernalia. Ryan found many gray-colored artifacts and even avatars (such as the warrior-avatar 'Smoke' from Mortal Kombat video games) that might be construed as 'passionate' or 'religious' and draw the attention of anti-American terrorists. Well, the Smoke-post Ryan found on Facebook was from an Eagles fan who was comparing Eagles winning backup-QB Nick Foles to the warrior-avatar Smoke. This Facebook-poster referencing Smoke was actually an ISIS terrorist secretly living in America and spreading gray Eagles fanfare symbols/pics after reading Ajay's post(!). Ryan was correct after all, but he didn't know the Smoke-poster on Facebook was actually an ISIS terrorist...

GOD: It's the corruption of Wall Street that's drawn the ire of terrorists.
SATAN: Yes, the destroyed World Trade Center was a totem of commerce.
GOD: Many critics feel commerce is simply a gambling-game for pirates!
SATAN: No one trusts capitalism...
GOD: Will Ryan's gray-Eagles investigation lead to an arrest?
SATAN: Well, the Smoke-posting terrorist was motivated by Ajay's post.
GOD: Yes, I suppose that terrorist noticed Ajay's gray Eagles shirt.
SATAN: I suppose 'gray' is no longer a 'neutral' color...
GOD: The passion and panic of terrorism creates much 'hyperbole.'
SATAN: I wonder if sports-gambling will change because of terrorism!
GOD: Don't speculate on such a fragile situation.
SATAN: Alright, but I worry for Ajay and his 'innocent fanfare gesture.'
GOD: You never know how many people are watching Facebook...
SATAN: The modern arena is a 'gray capitalism castle.'
GOD: Then let's all be wary of the great and terrible Gray Dragon!
