The war on Drugs serves many purposes, but none of them are good for the commonweal.

It fills our prisons,

it is the EXCUSE that is used to advance the US POLICE STATE,

it insure full employment for prison guards, and for-profit prisons,

it has created fabulously wealthy criminal organization.

It is the root cause of countless deaths both by POLICE and GANGSTERS

It has perverted our BANSTERS who wash their ill gotten gains

It has causes our POLICE to conspire with criminals

But what has it NOT done?

It has not in any way actually done anything to curtain drug use.

The COST of this affront to human rights?

$1.5 Trillion and counting

Prohibition does not work. Period. Time for a new approach, and people are beginning to realize this.

Obama promised job creation right? There's a HUGE profit margin to gain for legalizing Cannabis. There are many states that have already jumped on this bandwagon. Legalize it federally and impose a tax. It will create jobs, and a new cash crop. Safer than alcohol and tobacco combined. These policies of prohibition (on cannabis) are dinosaur ideals.
