Governments are like stars. They keep getting bigger, and bigger, and bigger, and bigger, until they either explode or implode on themselves. All you can hope for is that the star is not big enough to create a black hole that sucks the life out of the universe once it collapses.

This is why I think politicians like Bernie Sanders is the wave of the future. The problem is, however, the size of the US government. My guess is that it will create a devastating black hole once it dies.

That's pretty poetic. I like it. Economics has always been so difficult for me to understand. I like Bernie and a lot of his ideas, but socialism scares me because I don't know anything about what it would do to our economy. And I get completely opposite opinions on that, depending on who I ask.

Our government needs to shred about 9/10ths of its rules and regulations and let employees actually do their job instead of burying everyone under a mountain of senseless paperwork and conflicting policies. Until then, it makes me really nervous, too, to think of them administering universal health care.

We should criticize gov . But this hole "big gov bad " thing annoys the shit out of me . Cause when you really talk to people, they like the things big gov does .

The point being, men are corrupt. Government should not be running things so that they can be the referee and hopefully seek justice for those wronged

Instead, government continues to take over more and more and in doing so, negate any one to run to when people become corrupt in government.

It's like the VA scandal. Doctors who spoke out went to John McCain for help. Now you would think that John, being a former veteran, would be the ideal person to turn to for help. Instead, as soon as they contacted him they were immediately fired from their jobs.

If it were not for an obscure Congressman in Florida, the scandal would probably have never seen the light of day.

We are that close to simply being snuffed out without a whimper.

Now people want to do for US citizens what they are doing to veterans. If you get too sick, you get too expensive. If you get too expensive, they cut you off.

In a way, it does remind me of Hitler, He started euthanizing very sick patient's before starting the death camps. Those nonproductive members of society that were draining the system simply had to go.

True, Timmy, but have you ever worked for a fed or state government, or any agency controlled by fed funding? It is insane. Big gov sometimes does great things, but they could do it much more cheaply and effectively if they weren't run on the bureaucratic model. The snafu's are legendary (for example, Flint Michigan)

It's only when government enacts laws that punish people who haven't victimized anyone. Once government gets to the point where they are punishing people for violating government edicts (malum prohibitum), it has become tyrannical.
