In 2013, Congress passed the Pay Our Military Act, which kept military paychecks going during the shutdown and also allowed hundreds of thousands of civilian defense workers to keep going to work and received pay as well. But that law was not permanent, and Congress would have to pass a similar bill this time if they want to pay the same federal employees and contractors during a shutdown.

Now, why aren't McConnell and Ryan asking to renew that 2013 Act???

Further, do right wingers know that over 10% of military families rely on Medicaid and Food Stamps to carry on?

So, why................

Ryan says Republicans to target welfare, Medicare, Medicaid ...

Ryan aims for Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security cuts in 2018 ...

Sen. Mitch McConnell says Medicare, Social Security must change to ...

They may yet.

The problem you people have is that the bulk of military personnel hold the Democratic Party in less regard than they do feces.

Of course regarding Democrats as less than fecal matter is treason. Hell, in North Korea they'd be shot, but it would be unwise for you to have such ideas here.

Too funny. You really are an incorrigible poll-smoker.

In a new survey of American military personnel, Donald Trump emerged as active-duty service members' preference to become the next U.S. president, topping Hillary Clinton by more than a 2-to-1 margin.

Military Times survey: Troops prefer Trump to Clinton by a huge margin

Try a military poll moron.

Wrong. I said the military holds Democrats lower than shit. That's not hate, but hygiene.

Right. I see the Democrats rushing to provide funding for nuclear upgrades.

The GOP has always supported the military, Comrade.

So why cut Medicaid and food stamps that help a huge percentage of the military families????

These estimates suggest that between 1 percent and 2 percent of active-duty military members used food stamps in 2012. The USDA estimates that in 2012, more than 1.5 million veterans used food stamps, or about 7 percent of all veterans.May 25, 2015.

Try again fake news.
