When are the Gov't agencies gonna reel this company in, enoughs enough.
They are back requiring everyones phone number with 0 other methods of login even when settings selecting to not use a 2 factor verifications system. Which is also comical, because to turn off the selection you need to login.
1) this violates the privacy laws
2) discriminates against people without phones/ or non voip numbers which means google discriminates against poor people or those who need privacy for safety reasons.
3) violating 2 means it can violate security protocols for gov't classified employee info

"Don’t be an idiot! The government is NOT going to be the neutral arbiters of the internet and the big tech companies are NOT monopolies unless YOU forfeit your responsibility and use their controlled platforms. The answers to the social media crackdown are already here and it is your choice whether the alternatives that already exist thrive or die. It’s up to you. Choose wisely."

I use Bing.
You should not rely on any one particular search engine.

I have B1ng and G00gle installed in my search bar, but I rarely use them, maybe once every six months or so.

The ones in my search bar that are pinned are Startpage, DuckDuck, Yandex, Qwant & Presearch.

For anything important, I look at the results of two or three of them.

LOL....I guess nothing is all that important enough to me to bother with all that.

I don't use their email any more. You want my business? Stop the hoop jumping and earn my business. Too many other email services that don't have the hoops.

I hate to acknowledge that google has the best algorithms and functionality that I have seen. If I am doing serious work, then I bite the bullet and use them.
