If the swelling isn't huge, a jeweler can resize your ring. I used to do jewelry and it's a matter of putting your ring on a thing called a ring stretcher or a mandrel -- many different designs of them. Ring stretching is so much more cost effective than buying a new ring, and often takes just a couple of minutes.
Unless you want a new ring, of course!
