Facebook was DYING when the kids left the platform and started using snap and instagram. It resurged when people who were sick of the mainstream media *discovered* it and started to use it as a platform to share non-mainstream media and information.
They are working hard to slow this flow of information but it doesn't matter. There are alternative platforms, and as the idiots make facebook, and twitter, and the other platforms less friendly to the free exchange of ideas and communication, those people will just move to less known platforms and make those platforms huge as well.
