Google and my dad claim that flu shots do not specifically help defend you against common cold viruses.

Anyone know of a seasonal cold shot you can get though? I’ve heard if you catch a cold you can get an antiviral shot at your local hospital or medical center to help you overcome the cold.

Anyone know if there’s a seasonal cold shot you can get though? Like the seasonal flu or covid shot.

There is always someone who will give you a shot for any reason or no reason. But it wouldn't do any good. Colds are caused by numerous different viruses.

Well I’ve seen sites say there are common cold viruses and rare cold viruses. According to this site below, 30% -35% of all colds are caused by the same virus.

You would think that hospitals or your doctor would surely be able to give you an immune boosting shot for strains of the rhinovirus and other common viruses of the cold.

The common cold is caused by a rhinovirus (not a coronavirus as some claim) and there are too many variants, over 200, to vaccine against, so there is no vaccine to protect against all of the variants. The only thing to do, is, once you have a cold, have plenty of vitamin c, get plenty of fluids, some rest and use the common over the counter medications that address a cold's symptoms.

Coronaviruses cause common colds, just like a rhinovirus can.
And there has never been a successful vaccine for any coronavirus or any other cold from any source

As far as I know, there is no cure for the common cold. But the Flu does have preventions. I get a flu shot (that changes each year) once a year and haven't gotten the flu for a couple of decades. I do get touches of the common cold but a good night's sleep usually takes care of it.

The common cold is the least of your worries if you have Covid.

There are none .

The common cold virus mutates so rapidly that your so called shot will be out of date before it jabs you .
Regardless, there is growing evidence world wide that these shots are full of the same poisons that are loaded into the mRNA shots .
Graphene Oxide and heavy metal nano particles . All toxins .

If you would quit listening to the third voice in your head you would be better informed.

I've had covid & so has most of my family. No worries over a flu like virus, especially since you can take remedies like HCQ or Ivermectin.

Nobody cares about the ronaflu anymore except the talking heads & bed wetters.
Let me take a guess which category you fall in...

I'm not so sure you aren't born with the viruses, and they are kept at bay until you are weak, get chilled and then they come out to play.

Like Vrenn said Brickhouse. Cold is different than the flu. Yes, you can get shots to help prevent or lessen the effects of the flu, but you CAN'T get a shot to prevent the common cold, as it's in a different class of stuff that makes you sick.

Here's a link that might help. But, you can also go to the Google machine and ask "what is the difference between the common cold and the flu"?
